REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY HELPS BOOST ENERGY
I don't know about you, but I can ALWAYS use a little extra energy throughout the day. Feeling tired and groggy also tends to make me a little grumpy, which we all know isn't fun. I am less productive and less proud of my efforts during the day. With that added boost of energy, I feel better, I am happier, I accomplish more. All of those benefits will also lead to a better understanding of our self-worth.
REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IMPROVES MENTAL HEALTH AND MOOD
It has been proven through many different studies that physical activity can actually help give you an emotional boost. Chemicals that create a happy and relaxed feeling are stimulated and released in your brain through physical activity. Along with the science behind it, caring for your body can help boost your confidence and self-esteem and even lead you to feeling better about your physical appearance
REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CAN HELP ELIMINATE FUTURE HEALTH PROBLEMS
Dealing with health problems can cause tons of extra stress to your life. By taking care of yourself through physical activity you can potentially prevent many of these health risks from occurring in your life. Not only will you have time to live your life more fully, you won't be dealing with the many struggles that come from health problems.
REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CAN HELP PROMOTE BETTER SLEEP
Lacking sleep can cause many different issues like health problems, difficulty thinking + learning, depression, aging skin, forgetfulness, weight gain, impaired judgement, and many more. If you are having a difficult time falling asleep or struggling to stay asleep, regular physical activity could be your solution. Making regular physical activity a part of your daily routine can help you fall asleep much faster and while you are asleep cause you to sleep even deeper. WISE TIP: Don't exercise right before you go to bed. Doing so could cause you to be too energized making it difficult to fall asleep.
REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY INCREASES YOUR CHANCES OF LIVING LONGER
Life is good. Life is fun. Science has shown that making regular physical activity an important part of your life could increase your chances of staying alive longer. Not only will your chances of living longer increase, but the likelihood of you living a happier and healthier life will increase as well. There are only a few other lifestyle choices that will affect your health as much as physical activity will. Studies have show that those who do some form of physical activity for around 7 hours each week lower their chances of dying early by 40 percent than those who spend less than 30 minutes a week being physically active. That is a huge percentage. Get moving to live longer!
It is so important that we use exercise and physical activity to promote a positive and healthy life. When we exercise simply to change the way we look instead of caring for the body we have been blessed with, we miss so many of the benefits. In fact, exercising simply to "fix" or "change" our bodies can ultimately be more detrimental to our self-worth.
Stop resenting your body and instead learn to appreciate, love, and care for the body that you have already been blessed with.
