Does the thought of being more healthy sound like a daunting task?

Well, it doesn't have to be. Making simple lifestyle changes can honestly end up making a world of difference, and those changes don't have to be crazy difficult either.

If you are having a hard time being active or getting enough exercise in your routine try these three simple tricks to help you on your path to being more healthy.

TRICK #1: DRINK MORE WATER

This one should be a no-brainer but is often overlooked. Staying hydrated is so important. Shoot for at least 8 glasses of water every day. Drinking plenty of water will help keep you energized, focused, and even help you feel more full. By having more energy and feeling better overall, you will be more likely to be active. When you feel drained it is a lot more difficult. Try keeping a water bottle with you everywhere you go to remind you to drink more throughout the day. Get a water bottle with a handle so it is easy to carry wherever you are.

TRICK #2: LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO MOVE

One of the greatest ways to be more healthy is by simply looking for (and taking advantage of) opportunities to move your body. If you have the option to take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator, take the stairs. If you work at a desk, set an alarm every 30 minutes and take a standing break and move around. If you can, try doing a few little exercises during that break. You can also try parking farther away at the store, go for a morning walk, and exercise while watching TV. The opportunities are endless. Just learn to start taking advantage of them.

TRICK #3: GET WORKOUT CLOTHES YOU ACTUALLY LIKE

This might seem like a silly thing, but it was actually a game changer for me. By having exercise clothes that I enjoy wearing and feel comfortable and confident in, I am more likely to make it to the gym. I have also found that when I am wearing exercise clothes I am more likely to get out and be active throughout the day. Use workout gear as motivation to exercise by setting goals for yourself. For example, I set a goal to go to the gym every day for a certain amount of time, if I did, then I could get new workout clothes because I "earned" it. Below are a few of my favorites!
